Privlaka is located on a large, flat peninsula between the city of Nin and the island of Vir. The place is famous for its 'Sabunjari', men who in the past extracted sand from the seabed using special boats. The shallow sandy bays, such as Sabunike, are particularly popular with families with small children and windsurfers. The mild climate and the healing mud nearby also make Privlaka a destination for health tourism. In the old town center, numerous traditional wells can be found, which were once the only source of drinking water and are now preserved as monuments. The 14th-century Church of St. Vitus is the most significant historical building in the settlement. Privlaka has excellent connections to the Paklenica National Park and the historic city of Zadar, while maintaining its charm as a quiet fishing and agricultural village. The sunsets here are considered some of the most beautiful in the Zadar region.
