Konjevrate is strategically located on the road connecting Šibenik to the Krka National Park. The village is one of the oldest settlements in this part of Dalmatia, serving as an important local junction since the Middle Ages. The main attraction of the village is the Church of St. John the Baptist (Sveti Ivan Krstitelj), built on the foundations of an early Christian basilica. The church's architecture reflects various periods of Dalmatian history. For travelers, Konjevrate is a convenient stopover on the way to the Skradinski Buk or Roški Slap waterfalls. The village is known for its excellent agrotourism estates, where traditional dishes such as 'peka' (meat cooked under a bell) and local wines are served. The landscape is characterized by rugged karst interrupted by fertile valleys where olives and grapes are grown. The peace and authenticity of Konjevrate offer a pleasant contrast to the bustling nearby coastal towns.
