Lozovac is the most prominent gateway to Krka National Park, situated on the plateau above the river canyon in the Dalmatian hinterland. It serves as the primary arrival point for tourists, featuring extensive parking facilities and a specialized shuttle service that transports visitors down to the Skradinski buk waterfall area. This particular entrance is favored for its accessibility and the panoramic panoramic views it gives of the Krka river valley. The Skradinski buk system is a masterpiece of nature, consisting of 17 cascades over a length of 800 meters, where the river drops 45 meters in total. Beyond the waterfalls, the Lozovac area allows access to educational trails that highlight the unique karst landscape and the process of travertine formation. The park ecosystem is remarkably preserved, supporting a wide array of endemic flora and fauna. For those seeking a more active experience, a scenic walking trail descends from the Lozovac parking area, providing a closer look at the local vegetation and limestone rock formations before reaching the water level. The site remains a vital hub for conservation efforts and environmental education in Croatia.
