Torres del Paine National Park is one of the most famous and spectacular hiking destinations in South America. Visitors arrive from all over the world to admire the famous granite horns of Cuernos del Paine and the beautiful glacier lakes. The most popular hiking trails, such as the W-trek or the O-circuit, offer multi-day adventures in the rugged nature. The wildlife of the park is extremely rich, with hundreds of guanacos grazing on the grassy pampas, Andean condors circling above them, and lucky visitors might even spot a puma in the early morning hours. The massive ice wall of the Grey Glacier and the lake filled with icebergs captivate many travelers. The most convenient time to visit is during the Southern Hemisphere's summer, from November to March, when the weather is slightly warmer and the days are long, with up to 16-18 hours of daylight. The easiest way to reach the area is from the town of Puerto Natales, where regular bus services depart for the park entrances.
