Visiting
The Boyana Waterfall in the Vitosha Mountains is freely accessible at all times, with the hike starting in the village of Boyana. The climb takes about an hour through dense forests, so sturdy footwear is strongly recommended.
Typical hours
The waterfall is accessible year-round, but the best time to visit is from April to October. In winter the trail can be icy and slippery, requiring extra caution.
Photography
Photography is allowed along the entire trail and at the waterfall itself. A tripod can be useful for capturing the flowing water in low-light conditions.
Time needed
The hike to the waterfall and back takes about one and a half to two hours. Those who wish to linger or have a picnic should allow extra time.

Getting there
