Gomselmash, headquartered in the southeastern city of Gomel, is one of the most historically rich and significant agricultural machinery enterprises in Eastern Europe. The factory was established in 1930 during the first major wave of Soviet industrialization and has been dedicated to the mechanization of agriculture ever since. Today, the plant manufactures state-of-the-art combine harvesters, forage harvesters, and specialized machinery for harvesting grain, corn, and flax under the well-known 'Palesse' brand. Gomselmash stands as a prime example of vertical integration, as the factory develops and produces almost all the necessary components for its complex machines internally, ranging from gearboxes to hydraulic systems. Through continuous innovation driven by its massive research and development center, the brand successfully competes on the international market, supplying its robust harvesting machinery to countries across multiple continents.
