Pyramidenkogel
Pyramidenkogel is an 851-meter-high mountain south of Lake Wörthersee in Carinthia, best known for its iconic observation tower. The current tower, opened in 2013, stands 100 meters tall and holds the record as the world's tallest wooden observation tower. Its striking spiral structure is made of glulam timber and steel, featuring three viewing decks that offer panoramic views across Carinthia, from the Grossglockner to Lake Klopeiner. A major highlight for visitors is Europe's tallest indoor slide, measuring 120 meters in length, located inside the core of the tower. The architecture was specifically designed to harmonize with the surrounding forest landscape. Since its completion, the tower has become a primary tourist landmark for the region, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors annually.
