Finkenstein am Faaker See is a Carinthian market town that uniquely combines nature, culture, and sports. This former fortress of the Dietrichstein counts was transformed into a spectacular event arena, hosting world-class concerts against the backdrop of the turquoise lake and mountains. Lake Faaker See itself is famous for its characteristic color and its island, a popular destination for boat trips. Finkenstein is also a paradise for active holidaymakers; Kanzianiberg is regarded as one of Austria's finest rock-climbing areas.
