Sant Romà de les Bons is a Romanesque church in the parish of Encamp and part of a remarkable historical ensemble that also includes a defensive tower and the remains of a noble house. Consecrated in 1164, the church is a classic example of the simple Andorran Pyrenean style. It features a rectangular nave and a semicircular apse decorated with Lombard arches. Of particular significance are the Romanesque murals found inside; the originals are now housed in the National Art Museum of Catalonia in Barcelona, while detailed reproductions can be seen on-site. Its location on a rocky outcrop provided protection and a wide view over the Encamp valley. The Les Bons ensemble illustrates medieval settlement structure, where religious and defensive buildings were closely interconnected.
