The Tirana Botanical Garden was established in 1971 and stands as the most prominent institution for botanical research and conservation in Albania. Managed by the University of Tirana, it covers an area of approximately 15 hectares in the southern part of the capital city. The garden houses a diverse collection of over 2,000 plant species, representing both the rich indigenous flora of the Balkan Peninsula and international exotic varieties.
