Shah-e Fuladi
Shah-e Fuladi, which translates to 'King of Steel,' is the highest peak in the Koh-e Baba mountain range, standing at an elevation of 5,048 meters in central Afghanistan's Bamyan Province. This prominent peak is snow-capped for much of the year, and its meltwater is a crucial source for the rivers originating in the range, which are vital for the country's agriculture. The mountain dominates the landscape of the central highlands. For the local Hazara people, the mountain is a significant landmark. While not an exceptionally technical climb, its remote location and the logistical challenges of reaching it make expeditions uncommon. From its summit, climbers are rewarded with remarkable panoramic views across the vast, rugged expanse of the Afghan highlands.
