Voznesenivka, known as Chervonopartyzansk until 2016, is a mining city in Luhansk Oblast, eastern Ukraine. Situated right on the international border with the Russian Federation, the city's identity and economy have been profoundly shaped by the Donbas coal industry. The city was founded in the 20th century to exploit rich coal deposits. Due to its strategic border location and its role in a key industrial region, Voznesenivka has experienced significant historical and political turbulence. Tourism information is limited due to the ongoing conflict, and travel to the area is strongly discouraged for safety reasons.
