Water temperature…
Hurzuf, located on the sun-drenched southern coast of Crimea, has attracted writers, artists, and summer vacationers since the 19th century. The landscape is defined by the distinctive silhouette of Ayu-Dag, or Bear Mountain, which rises steeply above the Black Sea. The narrow, winding streets of the old town reflect a rich Tatar and Russian heritage, while the seaside promenade is lined with lively cafes and restaurants. The town is famous for its parks and historical estates, including the former estate of the Duke of Richelieu and the lush gardens of the Gurzufsky Sanatorium. Russian poet Alexander Pushkin spent a few weeks here, bestowing a romantic literary reputation upon the resort. Just off the coast, the twin Adalary rocks rise dramatically from the water, forming one of the most iconic and photographed landmarks in the region. Hurzuf's pebble beaches offer clear waters, excellent for swimming, snorkeling, and boat trips. The Mediterranean-style microclimate provides warm, dry summers and mild winters, making the main travel season run from June to September. Its proximity to Yalta also makes Hurzuf a good base for exploring the diverse attractions of the entire southern Crimean coast.
