Weather…

The Homilshanski Lisy National Nature Park was established on September 6, 2004, in the Kharkiv Oblast, covering 14,314 hectares on the right bank of the Seversky Donets River. It is famous for its centuries-old oak forests, with some trees reaching ages of over 400 to 600 years. Geographically, the park gives a diverse landscape of steep riverbanks, sandy terraces, and dense forest areas. This region is of high historical significance, as it hosts numerous archaeological sites ranging from the Bronze Age to the times of Kyivan Rus and the Cossacks. The biological diversity is exceptional; over 1,000 vascular plant species and numerous rare animal species, such as the stag beetle and the white-tailed eagle, have been documented. The park serves as an important center for scientific research in eastern Ukraine and promotes sustainable tourism. Preserving the genetic resources of the ancient oak stands is a primary focus of conservation efforts. Visitors can experience the symbiosis of nature and history on specially designed educational trails.
