Bozcaada, historically known as Tenedos, is Turkey's third-largest island, located in the northern Aegean Sea. The island's economy has relied on viticulture for centuries, and local wineries are open to visitors year-round. The historical center features a blend of Greek and Turkish architectural traditions with narrow streets and traditional stone houses. The coastline consists of steep cliffs and protected sandy bays. Ayazma Plajı is the most renowned beach, characterized by its wide sandy stretch and cold underwater springs. Habbele Plajı and Tuzburnu Plajı offer quieter swimming spots. Çayır Koyu, Avana Plajı, and Beylik Plajı provide more natural environments away from the peak season crowds. During summer, the island center becomes a car-free zone, and vehicle transport on ferries requires prior reservation. The port is dominated by the imposing Bozcaada Castle, which secured maritime trade routes during the Middle Ages. A wind farm has been operating on the western cape since 2000.
