Swallow's Cave (Tonga)

Weather…

Swallow's Cave is a spectacular sea cave situated on the island of Kapa in the Vava'u island group of Tonga. It is easily accessible by boat, as the entrance is large enough for small vessels to navigate directly into the interior. The cave is named after the hundreds of swifts, often mistaken for swallows, that nest within the crevices of its high ceiling. The interior of the cave features high, vaulted ceilings and vertical walls decorated with natural patterns and colors. The water inside is exceptionally clear and deep, displaying lively shades of turquoise and cobalt blue. Light entering through the large opening creates shimmering reflections on the cave walls, especially during the afternoon hours. It is a popular site for snorkeling and diving due to the abundance of marine life and the clarity of the water.
