Great Rift Valley

The Great Rift Valley is one of Earth's most significant geological features, stretching over 6,000 kilometers from Syria to Mozambique, with its most dramatic section traversing East Africa. In Tanzania, the rift splits into western and eastern branches, defined by deep lakes such as Lake Tanganyika and Lake Malawi, and prominent cliffs like the Manyara Escarpment.
