Nacka is situated east of Stockholm and serves as a transition zone between the urban capital and the expansive archipelago. The municipality possesses a robust industrial heritage, particularly visible in the Sickla and Järla districts where former factories have been transformed into contemporary office and residential spaces. A historically significant site is Nacka Strand, once home to August Brunius's automobile factory and now a modern business district overlooking the main shipping lane into Stockholm harbor. Nacka gives a unique synthesis of nature and urbanity, notably through the Nackareservatet nature reserve and the popular Hellasgården recreation area. One of its most famous landmarks is Saltsjöbaden, an exclusive seaside resort established in the late 19th century, featuring the iconic Grand Hotel. The area is efficiently connected to central Stockholm by the historic Saltsjöbanan railway, making Nacka a highly sought-after residential location for professionals.

Just outside the gates of Stockholm, this tranquil beach in Nacka provides a wonderful opportunity to cool off in the clear water. Surrounded by a typically Swedish natural backdrop, bathers easily find a peaceful counterpoint to busy urban life here. The shore strongly invites you to get comfortable with a picnic and watch the shifting reflections on the water's surface. During the summer, the water often reaches a remarkably pleasant temperature quite quickly.
