💡 Tips
- The roads leading down to Notos can be narrow and winding; drive carefully, especially in larger rental vehicles.
- This area is known for its beautiful flower gardens and olive groves, making it excellent for shaded walks.
- Beach facilities are minimal here, so bring your own towels, water, and an umbrella if you plan a long stay.
- The shallow, warm waters are excellent for relaxed swimming, protected from the strong winds often found on the west coast.
- Mobile signal can be patchy down in the coves, so it is a good idea to download offline maps before heading here.
🍽 Food
Look for small family-run eateries set back from the beach among the trees, offering traditional Corfiot home cooking.

Water temperature…
Hidden on the southeastern coast of Corfu lies the idyllic coastal village of Notos, a true paradise for nature lovers and those seeking tranquility. The region is characterized by its dense, almost jungle-like vegetation that reaches right down to the water's edge. Olive trees, cypresses, and blooming bougainvillea dominate the landscape, giving Notos an incredibly peaceful, secluded atmosphere, far from mass tourism. The main attraction is Notos beach, a photogenic, narrow stretch of pebble and sand that is divided into small coves. The crystal clear, turquoise waters of the Ionian Sea are usually calm and shallow here, making it great for swimming and snorkeling. Because the beach is not overly commercialized, there are only a few sun loungers, but the large trees provide plenty of natural shade, well-suited for long afternoons by the sea. In Notos, life moves at a slow pace. Scattered along the small roads are traditional tavernas offering dishes made with fresh, local ingredients and freshly caught fish. It is the excellent place to enjoy authentic Greek hospitality over a relaxing lunch. Getting there is easiest with a rented car or scooter, which makes the journey through the green coastal landscape an experience in itself.
