Chanverrie is a French commune located in the Vendée department, established on January 1, 2019, through the merger of La Verrie and Chambretaud. This administrative union was designed to pool resources while preserving the distinct heritage of each village. Geographically, it is situated in the 'Haut-Bocage' area, characterized by its rolling hills and traditional hedgerow landscape. The history of the region is deeply intertwined with the Catholic and Royal Army movements during the 18th-century Vendée uprisings.
