Seysses is a commune in the Haute-Garonne department of southwestern France, located about 20 kilometers from the center of Toulouse. Over the past few decades, it has transformed from a quiet agricultural village into a bustling residential suburb of the Toulouse metropolitan area. The heart of the town still reflects its traditional roots, notably through the Saint-Blaise Church, which features a classic 'clocher-mur' (bell-gable) typical of the regional Gascon architecture. Nationally, Seysses is also recognized for its large modern remand prison, which is one of the key judicial facilities in the region. Geographically, the town is situated in the fertile plains near the Garonne River. Its rapid population growth has been supported by the development of modern amenities and infrastructure, making it a popular choice for families seeking a suburban lifestyle while remaining close to the economic opportunities of the aerospace industry in Toulouse.
