Port of Helsinki (Finland)

Weather…

The Port of Helsinki is Finland's leading foreign trade gateway and one of the world's busiest passenger ports. It operates through several key areas, including the West Harbour, the South Harbour, Katajanokka, and the modern Vuosaari cargo port. Each year, it handles over 12 million passengers, predominantly traveling on the high-frequency routes connecting Helsinki to Tallinn and Stockholm. Beyond passenger traffic, the port is essential for Finland's economic stability, as a significant percentage of the country's imports and exports pass through its docks. The port is a pioneer in environmental sustainability, implementing shore-to-ship power systems and automated mooring technologies to reduce carbon emissions. Its strategic location in the capital city allows for seamless integration with national rail and road networks. As a vital link in the logistics chain of Northern Europe, the Port of Helsinki continues to drive the economic development of the Baltic Sea region while modernizing its infrastructure to meet future demand.
