Linnanmaki (Finland)

Weather…

Linnanmäki is Finland's oldest and most popular amusement park, located in the heart of Helsinki. The park opened in 1950 and is owned by the Children's Day Foundation, which uses the proceeds to support child welfare work in Finland. With over 40 different rides, Linnanmäki has attractions for all age groups, from historical classics to modern high-speed roller coasters. The park's landmark is the wooden roller coaster Vuoristorata, which was commissioned in 1951 and is still operated by a brakeman on the train to this day. In addition to the rides, the park houses the Sea Life Helsinki aquarium and provides a variety of games, restaurants, and live entertainment. The park is situated on a hill and provides an impressive panoramic view over the Finnish capital. Since admission to the park grounds is free, Linnanmäki also serves as a popular social meeting point for locals and tourists during the summer months.
