Muuga Terminal (Estonia)

Weather…

Muuga Terminal is the largest and deepest cargo port in Estonia, serving as a vital component of the Port of Tallinn complex. Located approximately 13 kilometers northeast of the capital in Muuga Bay, it was established in 1986 as one of the most advanced maritime facilities in the region. With a maximum depth of 18 meters, the terminal is capable of receiving the largest vessels that enter the Baltic Sea through the Danish Straits. The port specializes in the transit of liquid bulk, including petroleum products, as well as dry bulk such as grain and fertilizers, and containerized cargo. Its geographic position ensures that the waters remain mostly ice-free during winter months, facilitating uninterrupted year-round operations. The terminal features extensive storage silos and direct rail links, making it a key logistics hub for trade between Northern Europe and eastern markets.
