Butembo is a dynamic commercial city located in the North Kivu province of the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. Situated at an elevation of approximately 1,500 meters, the city enjoys a temperate climate good for agriculture. Butembo is renowned as the economic powerhouse of the Nande ethnic group, whose entrepreneurial spirit has transformed the city into one of the country's most vital import-export hubs.
