Prachov Rocks (Czech Republic)

Weather…

The Prachov Rocks (Prachovské skály) are a fascinating rock city in the heart of the Bohemian Paradise (Český ráj). This labyrinth of towering sandstone spires, narrow gorges, and pretty viewpoints was formed millions of years ago as a seabed. The erosive forces of wind and water have shaped a bizarre and romantic landscape over time. A well-marked network of hiking trails leads visitors through the narrowest crevices, up steep stairs, and to spectacular viewpoints such as the 'Vyhlídka Českého ráje' (Bohemian Paradise Viewpoint). The rock formations bear imaginative names like 'American Tower' or 'Imperial Corridor'. The area is not only a paradise for hikers but also a very popular climbing area with hundreds of designated climbing routes. The unique beauty of the Prachov Rocks has made them one of the most famous and visited natural monuments in the Czech Republic.
