Hluboká Castle (Czech Republic)

Weather…

Hluboká Castle is widely regarded as one of the most romantic and architecturally remarkable chateaus in South Bohemia. Originally founded as a royal fortress in the 13th century, the complex underwent several radical reconstructions until the mid-19th century, when the Schwarzenberg family rebuilt it in the Neo-Gothic style. The design was heavily inspired by Windsor Castle in England, which is evident in its elaborate battlements, towers, and brilliant white facade. The interiors are famous for their exquisite wood carvings, valuable tapestries, and an extensive armory collection. Surrounding the castle is a vast English-style landscape park featuring rare tree species and carefully manicured gardens. For centuries, Hluboká served as a hub for social life and hunting expeditions for the Bohemian nobility. Today, it stands as a protected national cultural monument, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the world each year.
