Župa dubrovačka is situated in a fertile valley between Dubrovnik and Cavtat, forming one of the most attractive tourist areas in the region. The municipality consists of several coastal villages, including Mlini, Srebreno, and Plat, known for their sheltered bays and clean pebble beaches. Historically, the area served as the agricultural hinterland of the Republic of Ragusa (Dubrovnik) and housed numerous summer residences for Dubrovnik's nobility. The village of Mlini owes its name to the historic watermills once powered by local springs; today, it is a characterful village with a long promenade shaded by tall pine trees. Srebreno provides modern tourist facilities and one of the region's largest shopping centers. A striking monument of history is the Kupari hotel complex, whose ruins now stand as a testament to the Homeland War and attract filmmakers from around the world. The nature in Župa is rich in Mediterranean flora, from cypresses and pines to aromatic herbs. The gastronomy is dominated by fresh fish, seafood, and local wines from the Konavle valley. Excellent boat connections to Dubrovnik allow visitors to reach the Old Town in just 15 minutes by sea, while enjoying the tranquility and gentler climate of the Župa bay.
The most pleasant time to visit is Jun, Jul, Sep.
