💡 Tips
- Note that the Biskupija municipality is bilingual; signs are often written in both Latin and Cyrillic scripts.
- Always carry enough cash, as local producers and markets in the Knin region rarely accept card payments.
- Respect the 'Fjaka' (afternoon rest) between 2 PM and 5 PM, when village life almost completely pauses.
- Visit the Biskupija Archaeological Park to see the ruins of one of Croatia's most important early medieval sites.
- Use the cooler morning hours for hikes to the source of the Krka, as shade is scarce in the karst landscape.

Uzdolje is located in the Kosovo Field south of Knin and is one of the most important archaeological sites in the Dalmatian hinterland. The village is famous for the remains of an early medieval church where significant Glagolitic inscriptions and fragments of Croatian history were found. These finds provide valuable insights into the era of the early Croatian princes. The landscape of Uzdolje is characterized by vast agricultural lands surrounded by rugged limestone hills. The traditional way of life is still palpable here, with sheep farming and grain cultivation being the primary sources of income. Nearby are the springs of the Krka River, which ensure the fertility of the soil. Visitors interested in history will find a place of deep cultural roots here, far off the beaten path. The peace of the rural surroundings provides a strong contrast to the hustle and bustle of coastal cities. Hiking in the surrounding mountains provides wide views over the entire Kosovo Field up to the Dinara massif.
