Promina is a historical municipality in the hinterland of Šibenik, named after the imposing Promina mountain (1148 m) that dominates the landscape. The center of the municipality is the town of Oklaj. The region is known for its untouched nature and deep roots in agriculture, especially viticulture and livestock farming. The proximity to the Krka National Park makes Promina a handy destination for nature lovers. Particularly noteworthy in the municipal area is the Manojlovac waterfall, one of the highest and most beautiful waterfalls of the Krka river, as well as the Burnum archaeological site, a former Roman military camp. These sites offer fascinating insights into the ancient history of the region. Promina is also a place for active travelers.
