Strmica is a strategically located village in the Šibenik-Knin County, right on the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is situated in a valley between the Dinara and Uilica mountains, through which the Butižnica River flows. The place is historically known as an important junction between Dalmatia and the Bosnian hinterland. The landscape around Strmica is rugged and impressive.
