Water temperature…
Červar-Porat is situated in a sheltered bay on the west coast of Istria, about 6 kilometers north of Poreč. The town was conceived in the 1970s as a planned holiday settlement and is now a popular destination for boat owners and families. The heart of the town is the marina, providing space for hundreds of boats and creating an animated maritime atmosphere. The architecture is functional, designed to offer vacationers easy access to all amenities. Historically, however, the location is much older. In the immediate vicinity of the harbor lie the remains of a large Roman Villa Rustica and an ancient ceramic manufactory, once among the most significant in the Adriatic. These archaeological sites bear witness to the long history of settlement in this fertile bay. Along the coast, visitors find numerous pebble and rocky beaches shaded by pine forests, handy for children. Lora Bay is particularly sheltered, offering calm waters for swimming. During high season, Červar-Porat transforms into a lively tourist hub with numerous restaurants, cafes, and small shops. The gastronomy has a blend of international classics and Istrian specialties such as fresh fish and seafood. The settlement is well-connected to Poreč via cycling paths, making it an attractive base for excursions in the surrounding area. Červar-Porat provides a relaxed holiday environment where history and modern leisure life converge in a Mediterranean setting.
