Weather…

The Cristo Rey statue in Cali stands atop the Cerro de los Cristales in the western part of the city, serving as one of the most iconic landmarks of the Valle del Cauca region. The monument was inaugurated in 1953 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the end of the Thousand Days' War and as a symbol of national peace. The statue rises 26 meters high and is constructed from reinforced concrete coated with white marble dust for protection and aesthetics. Originally designed by Gerardo Navia Carvajal, it was completed by the Italian sculptor Alideo Tazzioli.
