💡 Tips
- The iconic rock arch is the village's main landmark; the best light for photography is early at sunrise.
- There is no sandy beach here. Swimming and cliff jumping are strictly for strong, highly experienced swimmers.
- Wear sturdy shoes at all times. The jagged coastal rocks are sharp and very dangerous to navigate in flip-flops.
- Wild camping is very popular on the cliffs. Be prepared for strong winds and always pack out all of your trash.

Tyulenovo is a unique spot on the northern Bulgarian coast, famous for its dramatic rocky cliffs and sea caves. Unlike typical beach resorts, Tyulenovo provides no sandy shores; instead, it features rugged red limestone cliffs that drop sharply into the deep, crystal-clear sea. The most famous landmark is the 'Rock Arch,' a natural stone bridge that serves as an impressive backdrop for photography and exploration. The village's name derives from the Bulgarian word for 'seal' (tyulen), as monk seals used to inhabit the local caves until the 1970s. Today, Tyulenovo is a mecca for cliff divers, scuba divers, and rock climbers, particularly those practicing Deep Water Soloing. The extensive network of underwater caves makes it one of the best diving spots on the Black Sea. The atmosphere remains peaceful and underdeveloped, with small guesthouses and local taverns serving the catch of the day. Located about 90 km north of Varna, Tyulenovo is best visited by car. It is a great destination for adventurers, nature photographers, and those who prefer wild, untamed landscapes over organized beach tourism. The sunrises here are legendary, as the morning light hits the red cliffs, creating a glowing, magical effect.
