Ezerets is an under-the-radar destination located in northeastern Bulgaria, near the Romanian border along the Black Sea coast. Unlike the heavily developed resort towns further south, Ezerets remains an authentic village that appeals to nature lovers and those seeking tranquility. The region is characterized by open landscapes and the scenic natural lakes, which are vital habitats for diverse birdlife. The undisputed main attraction is the local beach, simply named Езерец. Accessible via a dirt road through the forest, this magnificent stretch of coastline has miles of unspoiled, golden sand. There are no large hotels or noisy beach bars here, just the raw beauty of the Black Sea and rolling sand dunes. This pristine environment makes it a fantastic destination for wild camping, secluded sunbathing, and long walks along the water. While the village itself has limited infrastructure, it provides a couple of traditional guesthouses and a local tavern serving authentic Bulgarian cuisine. Freshly caught fish from the nearby lakes and sea are culinary highlights. Visitors usually arrive by car from Varna or Shabla to enjoy the pristine and remote coastal wilderness.
