Minsk Zoo (Belarus)

Weather…

The Minsk Zoo, idyllically located on the banks of the Svisloch River in the Chizhovka district, has evolved from its modest beginnings as a small nature educational park in 1984 into one of the country's leading zoological institutions. Today, across an extensive area, it provides a home to an impressive spectrum of over 400 animal species from all continents. The zoo holds an outstanding position in the breeding and conservation of the European bison. In recent years, the infrastructure has been massively modernized; this includes the creation of a spectacular exotarium modeled after a South American rainforest, a large dolphinarium, and a fascinating aquarium. The spacious outdoor enclosures for ungulates and native predators are designed to closely resemble their natural habitats.
