Swarovski Crystal Worlds (Austria)

Weather…

Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens, Tyrol, was opened in 1995 to mark the 100th anniversary of the world-famous crystal manufacturer. Designed by multimedia artist André Heller, this immersive experience has become one of Austria's most visited attractions, blending contemporary art with the brilliance of precision-cut crystal. The entrance is marked by the iconic "Giant," a grass-covered head with crystalline eyes and a cascading waterfall flowing from its mouth. Inside the Giant, visitors explore 18 subterranean "Chambers of Wonder," where renowned international artists such as Yayoi Kusama and Brian Eno have interpreted the theme of crystal through remarkable light, sound, and sculptural installations. The expansive garden outside features the magnificent Crystal Cloud, made of approximately 800,000 hand-mounted crystals floating over a black mirror pool. With a dedicated play tower for children, a labyrinth, and an upscale restaurant, Crystal Worlds has a holistic experience that celebrates both the heritage and the futuristic vision of the Swarovski brand.
