Parc Central is the largest green space in Andorra la Vella, serving as the 'green lung' of the densely built capital. Opened in the early 1990s and designed by architect Daniel Font, it covers an area of approximately 33,000 square meters right on the banks of the Valira River. The park features a variety of recreational facilities, including walking paths, playgrounds, a skate park, and an artificial pond. Geographically, it is centrally located on the valley floor, linking the commercial district with residential areas. A prominent element is its modern landscaping, which combines native plant species with contemporary art and functional water features. The park serves not only for the recreation of residents but is also a key venue for outdoor cultural events and concerts. Due to its strategic location, it provides a sanctuary from the traffic noise of the adjacent main roads. In recent years, the park has been expanded and modernized to meet the increasing demand for urban relaxation spaces. It stands as an example of successful urban planning that integrates nature into a high-altitude urban context.
