Laç is a city in northwestern Albania and the administrative center of the Kurbin district. The city gained prominence during the communist era as an industrial hub, particularly with the establishment of a large chemical plant and a phosphate factory. Geographically, Laç is situated at the foot of the Kruja mountains, giving it a strategic location between the coast and the hinterland.
