Katund i Ri is a rural community in the Durrës County of central Albania, located near the Adriatic coast and the Erzen River delta. As part of the Durrës municipality, it is situated in a low-lying coastal plain characterized by wetlands and highly fertile agricultural land. Historically, the area has been vital for supplying the nearby port city of Durrës with fresh produce, benefiting from the rich alluvial soil. Recently, Katund i Ri has emerged as a destination for agrotourism, where visitors can enjoy authentic local cuisine and witness traditional farming practices. Its proximity to the Bisht-Palla lagoon adds ecological significance to the area, serving as a habitat for various migratory bird species.
