Bërxullë is a dynamic administrative unit within the Vorë Municipality, strategically located between the capital city of Tirana and the port city of Durrës. Over the last few decades, the region has transitioned from a purely agricultural community into a major logistics and industrial hub, primarily due to its proximity to Tirana International Airport and key highways. According to the 2011 census, its population is approximately 9,883 residents, encompassing the villages of Bërxullë, Domje, and Mukaj. Geographically, it is situated on a flat plain drained by the Lana River, providing handy conditions for large-scale industrial development. Historically, the area was known for its fertile soil, where cereals and vegetables were grown for the regional market. Today, the scenery along the main roads is defined by large warehouses, factories, and commercial zones. Despite the heavy industrialization, Bërxullë maintains a sense of community within its residential areas. Recent infrastructure projects have improved the quality of life for residents through better utilities and road lighting. Bërxullë is now regarded as one of the most important economic drivers in the Tirana-Durrës metropolitan region.
