Jebel Ali is a globally significant industrial and port hub located southwest of Dubai, serving as the backbone of the regional economy. Opened in 1979, the Port of Jebel Ali is the largest man-made harbor in the world and a critical link in global maritime trade between Asia and Europe. Adjacent to the port lies the Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA), one of the world's largest free trade zones, hosting thousands of international corporations. Beyond its industrial weight, the region has evolved into a diverse district with luxury resorts and sprawling residential developments. A standout project is the Palm Jebel Ali artificial island, which significantly extends the coastline for tourism and housing. The excellent connectivity provided by the Dubai Metro and proximity to Al Maktoum International Airport further reinforce the area's logistical dominance. Historically, before the 1970s, the area was a nearly uninhabited desert landscape, completely transformed by monumental engineering feats.
