Located on the banks of the Teteriv River, Korostyshiv is the center of Ukraine's granite industry. The industry has left behind a series of deep quarries that have filled with water, forming memorable canyons. These sites, especially the Korostyshiv Canyon, have become popular destinations for locals and tourists who come for swimming and rock climbing. Besides the quarries, the city also has historic buildings, such as the 18th-century Catholic church and the former palace of the Olizar family. The city is easily accessible from Kyiv via the E40 highway, making it a convenient day-trip destination. Late spring and summer are the best times to visit.
