Ayvalık
Ayvalık is one of the most photogenic towns on Turkey’s western coast. With its narrow cobblestone streets and colorful stone houses reflecting Greek influences, it exudes a unique historical charm. The town is the heart of Turkey’s olive production, which is evident in the many olive oil boutiques and rich regional flavors. A must-see for every visitor is 'Şeytan Sofrası' (Devil’s Feast), a viewpoint offering a dramatic panoramic view over the Ayvalık archipelago. Local seafood restaurants serve excellent mezes, and the 'Ayvalık Toast' is a nationally famous snack. The best time to visit is late spring or early summer. The town is well-connected by bus to major cities like Izmir and Istanbul.
