Göcek
Göcek is the heart of the Turkish sailing world, located in a pretty bay in Muğla province. The town is renowned for its six world-class marinas and the famous '12 Islands' boat tours. With strict building regulations preventing high-rises, Göcek has maintained an upscale and peaceful atmosphere. Visitors are drawn here primarily for the 'Blue Cruise' experience, hopping between secluded coves and pine-fringed islets. The waterfront promenade is lined with chic boutiques, cafes, and excellent seafood restaurants. While the town center doesn't have a large public beach, the nearby islands offer some of the clearest water in the Mediterranean. Dalaman Airport is just 20 minutes away, making it one of the most accessible luxury resorts in Turkey. The best time to visit is from May to October, with early and late summer being first-rate for sailing and enjoying the outdoor lifestyle.
