Valu Beach (Timor-Leste)

Weather…

Valu Beach is situated at the easternmost tip of Timor island, near the remote village of Tutuala, and is regarded as one of the most pristine locations in the country. The beach is famous for its powdery white sand and crystal-clear turquoise waters, which are flanked by animated coral reefs teeming with marine life. Valu Beach serves as the primary gateway for crossing to the sacred Jaco Island, located just a few hundred meters offshore. For the local Fataluku people, the entire area holds deep spiritual significance, and Jaco Island is traditionally considered a holy site where human habitation is forbidden. The beach and its surroundings are part of the Nino Konis Santana National Park, Timor-Leste’s first national park, established to protect its vast biodiversity. Due to its remote location, Valu Beach remains largely undeveloped, offering visitors a rare experience of tranquility and natural beauty.
