Norrfällsviken is an idyllic coastal destination located within the UNESCO World Heritage site of the High Coast (Höga Kusten) in northern Sweden. Originally a seasonal fishing village established in the 17th century, it is famous for its characterful red wooden boathouses that line the sheltered harbor. The area is a great blend of rich cultural history and dramatic, unique geological landscapes. The coastal experience here is exceptionally diverse. Visitors can enjoy the striking contrast of ancient, vast shingle fields created by post-glacial rebound, right next to inviting sandy stretches. Lillsanden and Storsanden are beautiful local beaches that offer surprisingly excellent swimming conditions during the short but sweet Swedish summer, surrounded by lush pine forests.
