Kolmården Wildlife Park (Sweden)

Weather…

Kolmården Wildlife Park, located north of Norrköping, is the largest zoo in Scandinavia and one of Sweden's premier tourist attractions. Opened on May 27, 1965, it spans a vast area of 1.75 square kilometers within a scenic forested and hilly landscape. The park gained international fame for its dolphinarium, which opened in 1969 and continues to host world-class educational displays. A standout feature is the Safari gondola lift, inaugurated in 2011, which allows guests to glide silently above habitats containing lions, giraffes, and bears. Kolmården is home to over 60 different animal species from across the globe, including Asian elephants gifted by the King of Thailand. Beyond its zoological exhibits, the resort features the 'Bamses Värld' children's area and the high-speed 'Wildfire' wooden roller coaster. The park is deeply committed to global wildlife conservation and provides extensive environmental education programs.
