Water temperature…
Los Alcázares is an appealing coastal town in the Region of Murcia, situated on the shores of the Mar Menor, Europe's largest saltwater lagoon. The town is famous for its 7 km of sandy beaches and its exceptionally warm, mineral-rich waters, which are attributed with therapeutic properties. Water sports such as sailing, windsurfing, and kitesurfing are very popular here. The gastronomy is based on fresh fish and seafood from the Mar Menor, especially the `Caldero`, a traditional fish stew. Getting there is easy via the Region of Murcia International Airport (RMU), which is only 30 minutes away. Los Alcázares is an attractive destination year-round, but the best months to visit are from May to October, when the weather is sunny and the water temperature is convenient for swimming.
