Betty's Bay is located along the spectacular Clarence Drive and is a true haven for nature enthusiasts. Its main attraction is the Stony Point Nature Reserve, one of the best places to see African penguins in the wild. Another must-visit is the Harold Porter National Botanical Garden, which showcases the region's unique and diverse fynbos flora. The village is positioned between rugged mountains and the Atlantic Ocean, offering excellent opportunities for hiking and beach walks. The local dining scene features fresh seafood served in cozy, laid-back eateries. It is an easy 90-minute drive from Cape Town. The prime time to visit is between June and November, coinciding with the whale-watching season when southern right whales are often visible from the shoreline.
